Mid Devon

Mid Devon is a District in the county of Devon in England. Administrative seat is the town of Tiverton; Another important place is Crediton.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough Tiverton, Crediton and the Urban District of Rural Districts Tiverton and Crediton. The District was first called Tiverton, but was renamed in 1978 in Mid Devon.
