East Devon

East Devon is a District in the county of Devon in England. Administrative seat is the town of Sidmouth; significant sights are Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Seaton.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Borough Honiton, the urban districts of Budleigh, Exmouth Urban District, Ottery St Mary, Seaton and Sidmouth, the Rural Districts Axminster and Honiton Rural District and part of St Thomas.
