Middle River is located in the central northwestern Minnesota at Middle River, a tributary of the opening into the Red River of the North Snake River. The geographical coordinates are 48 ° 26'03 " north latitude and 96 ° 09'51 " west longitude. The site covers an area of 1.24 km ².
