Międzyrzecze, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Międzyrzecze ( German Meseritz ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the Gmina Slawoborze (Town Stolzenberg ) in the powiat Świdwiński ( Schivelbeiner circle).

Geographical location

Międzyrzecze is located about 30 kilometers southwest of Białogard ( Belgard ) and 17 kilometers northwest of Świdwin ( Schivelbein ). It is reached by a side road connecting Slawoborze by Resko (rain forest ).

History

Meseritz was an old farming village with manor and mill to which the Vorwerk Lonk and the forester's house Berkenow (now Polish: Berkanowo ) belonged. It was an old feud of the family of Meseritz, a Brandenburg March - Pomeranian noble family, which became extinct after 1808.

In 1817, the farmer control was performed four farmers received 78-100 acres of land. 1846 C. W. Gerstenberg owner, bought in 1854 by Adalbert Barsewisch the manor, after 1861 Adolf Peters.

In 1844 there were in Meseritz three farmers, two half- farmers and a Büdner. 1925 lived 127 inhabitants in 40 households, by 1939 it had 157 in 38 households.

The manor of Charles Thurow comprised 546 acres. A horse breeding and distillery belonged to the estate. The Meseritzer mill (Polish: Międzyrzecko ) with sawmill had an operating area of ​​460 acres and was located in a tranquil woodland setting with streams hammer and Pigge. It was run by Hans Lenz.

Meseritz belonged since 1932 - after the dissolution of the district Schivelbein - to the district Belgard ( Persante ) and bordered on the west by the rural district of rain forest in the north to the county Kolberg- Körlin. The village was the official and the civil registry district Schlenzig (Polish Słowieńsko ) and in the District Court District Schivelbein. After the occupation by Soviet troops in March 1945 and the expulsion of the German population of the entire municipality area has been summarized to a Polish state property.

Church

Międzyrzecze belonged until 1945 to the parish Semerow (Polish: Ząbrowo ), with the parishes Berkenow ( Berkanowo ) and Kartlow ( Kartlewo ) formed the parish Semerow. For Meseritz Rittergutsbesitzer Thurow exercised pro rata church patronage.
