Mikko Kokslien

Mikko Kokslien ( born March 10, 1985 in Lillehammer ) is a Norwegian nordic combined.

Career

In January 2003 Kokslien was the first time in the squad for the B- World Cup, where he Nineteen was the first time. Also at the Junior World Championships the same year he placed twelfth in the Gundersen method excellent. After he had shown in 2003 and 2004 consistent results in B- World Cup and World Junior Champion had been with the team, he was first nominated in February 2005 for the World Cup Nordic Combined. Again, he could earn points equal to his second single use. Nevertheless, the Norwegian Association now put him more than two years no longer in the A- Cup, a, for Kokslien managed in B- World Cup three podium finishes, including a victory. He was nominated for the World Cup again for the season 2007/ 08, the beginning of the season, however, he succeeded no point success, so he first descended back into the B World Cup. Only towards the end of the season Kokslien returned to the high level competition class and was among other 13 in the season finale in Oslo.

In the 2008 /09 season Kokslien came with seventh place at the World Cup in Ramsau first time in the top ten. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, he won the bronze medal with the team in the team competition. A short time later, on 15 March 2009, he reached third place at the season finale in Vikersund his first podium. The 2008/09 season he finished in 21st place in the overall World Cup standings. In his first Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Kokslien reached the 32th place in the individual on the normal hill and 39th place in the individual of the large hill.

Earlier in his career Kokslien had denied cross-country skiing race and had placed there too neat. With growing success in the Nordic combined, however, he no longer took part in cross-country competitions.
