Milan Jurčina

Milan Jurcina ( born June 7, 1983 in Liptovsky Mikulas, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player who plays for the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League since July 2010.

Career

The 1.93 m tall defender started his career with the Slovakian Extra division MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas, for whom he played in the Junior Extraliga. At age 18, he moved to the Halifax Mooseheads in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL before he selected the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 as a 241 in the eighth round by the Boston Bruins ( drafted ) was.
