Mitter is a municipality with 1156 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria ( Judicial District Schladming ). Mitterberg is health resort From 1 January 2015, merged the community as part of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the town of Sankt Martin am Grimming, the new community will be called " Mitterberg - Sankt Martin ".

Geography

Mitter Berg is located in Liezen in the Austrian province of Styria. Villages are Mitterberg, Kaindorf, Zirting, Gersdorf, village, Ratting, pier, Matzling, Gstatt, Strimitzen, Niedergstatt, Krottendorf, Wreath Bach, Unterlengdorf, Tipschern and mountain. The municipality has no real community center, the individual parts of municipalities tend to the different neighboring communities.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Mitterberg.

History

The Mitterland mountain was first mentioned in the founding of the Benedictine monastery Admont 1074. The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938 the congregation to Reichsgau Styria came from 1945 to 1955 it was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 September 1981. Coat Description: Black a leftist silver tip, in the left plate edge forward up a pedunculated blue lily grows.
