Mohawk Valley Comets

The Mohawk Valley Comets were an American ice hockey franchise in the North American Hockey League in Utica, New York.

History

The Mohawk Valley Comets were founded in 1973 as a franchise of the inaugural North American Hockey League. In the four seasons of existence, the Comets never get beyond the first round of the playoffs to the Lockhart Cup. After the league was disbanded after the 1976/77 season, presented the Mohawk Valley Comets a game operation.

From 1985 to 1987, played an eponymous team in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League.
