Mokrý Lom

Mokrý Lom ( German Mokrilom ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast Velešína in South Bohemia České Budějovice and belongs to the.

Geography

Mokrý Lom is located in the foothills of the mountain Novohradské country on a hill on the right side above the valley of the brook Lomský creek. To the east rises the Todeňská hora ( Todnier mountain, 608 m), south of the Straz (630 m) and the Ločenická hora ( Ločenitz, 624 m). To the west lies the flooded by the dam Římov Valley of Maltsch, northeast of the valley of the creek Pašinovický.

Neighboring towns are Branišovice, Větrník and Dolni Stropnice in the north, Pašinovice and Saddleback in the northeast, V Chalupách and Polzov in the east, Něchov the southeast, Ločenice, Argentina and svatý Jan nad Malší in the south, Sedlce, Hrachovy Hory and Lahut the southwest, Kladiny in west and Horni Římov and Dolni Římov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the castle belonging to the reign Velešína village Mocrig took place in 1362 when it was pledged to Bohuslav by Mirko Vice. In 1387 acquired the Lords of Rosenberg Velešína. Henry V of Rosenberg pledged the village of 1474 to Jan of Bohušice. Johann Friedrich Anton usefulness Count von Wartenberg on small Umlowitz bought on November 27, 1737 from the reign Krumlov Mokrylom. Subsequent owner was Count Josef Gundakar Thürheim, who sold his goods on September 1, 1751 Franz Leopold of Buquoys. Thus, the village was part of the lordship Gratzen. 1756 villages Chlum, Mokrý Lom, Ločenice, Sedlce and Polzov of the parish Velešína were assigned to the newly established branch church Johannesberg, who looked after 4020 church members. In 1840 lived in 14 houses of Mokrý Lom / Mokrylom 91 Czechs. Until the mid- 19th century, the village remained subservient always Gratzen.

After the abolition of patrimonial Mokrý Lom / Mokrylom formed in 1850 a part of the community Sedlce in the District Commission Budějovice / Budweis. In 1889, a volunteer fire department was formed for all districts. Initial plans of splitting the existing from the villages Branišovice, Kladiny, Lahut, Mokrý Lom, Polzov, Sedlce, Hrachové Hory, Úlehle, Zahrádka and the EinschichteEinschichten Benák and Babka community were submitted in early 1919. However, these were not pursued after in the subsequent local elections the Social Democrats were refusing such a division emerged as the winner and the new mayor also came from Sedlce. The mayor of Mokrý Lom, František PARTL, tried several times in vain the division to enforce against the resistance of representatives from Sedlce and Branišovice. After the biggest problem with the distribution of the property of the fire could be solved, the municipal council of Sedlce agreed to the separation of Mokrý Lom Lahut and Polzov on 19 August 1923. This was finally completed on 28 February 1924. During the German occupation Mokrý Lom / Mokrilom was incorporated in 1943 by Branišovice / Branschowitz. This was revised again after the end of World War II. 1948, the community was the Okres Trhové Sviny newly formed slammed, which was repealed twelve years later again. With the beginning of 1961 the church was assigned to the České Budějovice. On 14 June 1964, the annexation took place after Římov. Since November 24, 1990 Mokrý Lom again forms a separate municipality.

The municipality consists of the villages Mokrý Lom Lahut ( Lahut ) Mokrý Lom ( Mokrilom ) and Polzov ( Polschau ).
