Monika Hohlmeier

Monika hollow Meier ( born July 2, 1962 in Munich) is a German politician of the CSU. From 6 October 1998 to 15 April 2005 she was the Bavarian Minister of Education and Culture. In the European elections 2009, she was elected to the European Parliament.

Education and Family

Monika hollow Meier is the daughter of the late Bavarian Prime Minister Franz Josef Strauss and his wife Marianne Strauss, born Zwicknagl. Her brothers are Max Josef Strauss ( b. 1959 ) and Franz Georg Strauss ( b. 1961 ). Monika hollow Meier was married ( in Munich born August 10, 1955) since 1982 with the auditor Michael Hohl Meier, with whom she has a daughter and a son. The couple lived in Vaterstetten.
