Monique de la Bruchollerie
Monique de la Bruchollerie full name Monique Adrienne Marie du Roselle de la Bruchollerie ( born April 20, 1915 in Paris, † December 15, 1972 ibid ) was a French pianist.
Life
De La Bruchollerie came from a family of musicians of the French gentry, François -Adrien Boieldieu and André Messager belong to their ancestors. She attended the class of friends with their parents music teacher Isidore Philipp at the Paris Conservatory, which she left in 1928 with a First Prize at the age of seven years. She received other awards as a child. Then she became a student of Alfred Cortot in Paris, Emil von Sauer in Vienna and Raoul of Koczalski in Berlin. A concert that she gave in 1932 under Charles Münch, brought her breakthrough as a pianist. Between 1936 and 1938 she participated successfully in several piano competitions, including the Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 1938 and 1939 in Brussels.
After the Second World War she joined internationally, for example, in the U.S. and in Poland and worked with conductors such as Sergiu Celibidache, Eugen Jochum, Herbert von Karajan. Ernest Ansermet and Jan Krenz. Her concert career ended suddenly in December 1966 in a car accident in Romania, in which she suffered a skull fracture, partial paralysis and an irreparable injury to his right hand. From then on she devoted herself to teaching. Among her pupils were, for example, Cyprien Katsaris, Jean -Marc Savelli and Hans Martin Ritter.
