Moses E. Kiley

Moses Elias Kiley ( born November 13, 1876 in Margaree, Nova Scotia, Canada, † April 15, 1953 ) was Archbishop of Milwaukee.

Life

Moses Elias Kiley received on June 10, 1911 by the Archbishop of Dallas, James Edward Quigley, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On February 10, 1934, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Bishop of Trenton. The Secretary of the Consistorial, Raffaele Cardinal Carlo Rossi OCD, donated to him on 17 March of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith, Carlo Salotti, and the Bishop of Newark, Thomas Joseph Walsh.

On January 1, 1940, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Archbishop of Milwaukee.
