Moses Ndiema Masai

Moses Ndiema Masai ( born June 1, 1986 in Mt Elgon ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

In 2004 he was the national youth champion in the 10,000 -meter run. He was seventh in the junior race of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships and African junior champion in the 5000m and 10,000 m in 2005.

In 2008 he finished fifth at the World Cross Country Championships, won the Parelloop about 10 km, ran the ISTAF the 5000 m in 12:50,55 min and qualified for the 10,000 - meter race of the 2008 Summer Olympics, where he finished fourth.

At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009, he won the bronze medal in the 10,000 m. In the further course of the season victories followed at the Dam tot Damloop and the San Silvestre Vallecana.

In the 2010 season he started with the course record of 27:19 minutes at the World's Best 10K.

The 1.72 meter tall athlete is a professional policeman and starts at club level for the Kenyan Police ( Kenya Police). In the national team he is coached by Julius Kirwa. Masai was also in the squad of the Kenyan team for the 2012 Summer Olympics, finishing in London on the Olympic 10,000 - meter course on the 12th rank.

Together with his wife Doris Chepkwemoi Changeywo and his sister Linet Masai Chepkwemoi, the 10,000 - meter world champion in 2009, the son of the former runner John Barasa Masai lives in Iten.
