Motor Music

Motor Music is a German record label. The company is also involved in the radio station Flux FM and on internet TV stations Flux TV. Besides his activity as a label Motor Music acts as a management and publishing.

History

The company was founded in 1994 by Tim Renner as a subsidiary of PolyGram, which merged in the Universal Group in 1998. Tim Renner was Germany CEO of Universal Music, but also continues to conduct Motor Music. Motor Music moved to 2004, artists such as Rammstein and Element of Crime.

The reorganization of the pops business within Universal Music Tim Renner decided in 2004 to withdraw from his position within the German branch of Universal. He also divided Motor Music from from Universal and began working as the development of new artists. In the period following the label activities were severely restricted, and there was a concentration on the structure of the radio station Motor FM, which began with the regular broadcasting in February 2005. The first almost free of advertising and news -free program including priorities alternative and German -language music. In addition to the terrestrial broadcasting, it can also be heard via live streaming over the internet. About the radio station new forms of music marketing are to be tested.

Parallel to Motor FM was started in September 2006 with the broadcast of motor TV, IPTV and DVB- T TV -spread with similar program priorities such as the radio station.
