Mountains classification in the Giro d'Italia
The Maglia Azzurra (German Azure jersey) is a rating jersey that since 2012 the leader of the mountain classification ( Italian for " Gran premio della montagna " ) at the UCI World Tour stage race Giro d' Italia wears. Mountains classification
The mountains classification will be held at the Giro d' Italia since 1933, first winner was Alfredo Binda. Record winner Gino Bartali with seven wins. 1974-2011 a green jersey ( Maglia Verde) was given to the leader of the mountains classification in the Giro d' Italia. 2012, the color of this leading jerseys was replaced by azure.
The only German winner of the mountains classification is Fabian Wegmann of Gerolsteiner team at the Giro d' Italia 2004.

Inter Giro and combined score
In the years 1989-2006 Maglia Azzurra was the name given to the leader's jersey at the Giro d' Italia in the so-called Inter current standings and later in the combined score.
About half of each stage the score was taken for Interreligious Giro. First, the time has been determined that each driver has taken to the Inter Giro. In recent years, the vote resulted primarily from the Inter finishes at the Giro and only a small proportion of the times achieved. Last year, the host the Inter Giro rating was a pure points standings.
The azure blue jersey was introduced in 1989. The first winner of this rating was the Yugoslav Jure Pavlic. The most wins in this summary holds the Italian Fabrizio Guidi.
In 2006, the Maglia Azzurra was awarded for the leader of the combined score. For this purpose, after each stage points for the best in the overall, points and mountains classification, and in the sprint were " Gazzetta 110 " distributed. The best in each rating was awarded 15 points, the 15th still got a point. So could be achieved in a day up to 60 points.
