Mr. Olympia
Mr. Olympia is an international bodybuilding competition that is held annually by the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness ( IFBB ).
The victory is considered the highest accolade in the professional bodybuilding. Joe Weider called the competition launched in 1965 to provide an incentive for the professionals, the sport to remain faithful. When Mr. Olympia, there were no weight classes, in contrast to many other bodybuilding competitions for a long time. From 1974-1979 the number of participants was divided into two weight classes since 2009, this classification exists again. To participate in the normal case a qualification is required, the organizers will award but from time to time, special invitations ( a wildcard ). Parallel to the "Mr. Olympia "is also a " Ms. Olympia " competition for female bodybuilders - beyond later also competitions for the fitness, figure and bikini class were introduced.
Qualification
To take part in the Mr. Olympia, the participants of the following criteria must:
- Among the top four in the Mr. Olympia last year
- Among the top 3 of the Arnold Classic the same year

- Victory in a IFBB pro competitions after the Mr. Olympia last year
