The Princess Seaways is a ferry the Danish shipping company DFDS, which on the route IJmuiden - Newcastle wrong.

History

The ship was built by the Schichau Seebeck Werft AG in Bremerhaven as Peter Pan. The keel-laying ceremony took place July 8, the launching held on 30 November 1985. The ship was delivered in May 1986 at the TT- Line, which is on the route Travemünde - Trelleborg started. In 1993 the ship was sold to the transport of Tasmania and went under the name Spirit of Tasmania on the route Devonport - Melbourne. 2002 acquired the Norwegian shipping company Fjord Line ferry. After crossing as a Spir to Frederikshavn the ship was extensively renovated and as Fjord Norway Egersund on the track in April 2003 - on mountains in service - Haugesund. From 2005, Fjord Norway took mainly the England route Bergen - Newcastle and additionally once a week the Denmark route. In September 2006, Fjord Line announced that ship and route would be sold from October 16, 2006 by DFDS. On 16 October 2006, the ship was renamed Princess of Norway; same time there was a re-flagging to Denmark.

Since 30 May 2007, the ship on the route will IJmuiden - Newcastle used, which together with its sister ship, the King Seaways ( f. King of Scandinavia ), served. At the same time changed the Queen of Scandinavia on the route Bergen - Newcastle. The reasons justifying the replacement were, firstly, the higher speed of the Queen of Scandinavia and on the other the higher passenger capacity of the Princess of Norway.

In February 2011, the Princess of Norway was renamed Princess Seaways.
