Municipality of Majšperk

Majšperk ( German Monsberg ) is a municipality in the Spodnja Štajerska region in Slovenia.

The total community Majšperk has 4140 inhabitants ( 2008) and is located in Dravinjatal. 1168, the village was first mentioned as Monsberg. The name came from the mighty castle, but burned down in 1695. Although it was rebuilt, but fell into disrepair after 1850 to the ruins.
