Nagoya-Marathon
The Nagoya Marathon (Japanese名古屋 国際 女子 マラソンNagoya Kokusai Joshi Marason, dt International Women's Marathon Nagoya ) is a marathon for women, to be held in Nagoya since 1984 in March. It is organized by the Japan Association of Athletics Foundations ( JAAF ) and the Chunichi Shimbun. From 1980 to 1983, a race over 20km took place.
2011, the event was canceled because two days earlier, a severe earthquake had occurred in eastern Japan.
2012 was the race that was run by then the female elite, opened for amateur runners.
