Wanda Panfil
Wanda Panfil (after marriage Wanda Panfil - Gonzales, born January 26, 1959 in Opoczno ) is a Polish long-distance runner.
In 1990 she won the London Marathon and the New York City Marathon. In 1991, she won the Boston Marathon in her personal best time of 2:24:18 and won the marathon of the World Championships in Athletics in Tokyo.
Panfil took twelve Polish Champion title in the disciplines of 3000 m, 5000 m, 20 - km road running, marathon and cross-country running and put on the rail line distances 3000 m, 5000 m, 10,000 m and nine provincial records.
In 1990 and 1991 she was elected to Poland Athlete of the Year. They also won in 1990 and 1991, the award Złote Kolce ( "golden spikes " )
She is married to the Mexican runner Mauricio González.
