The International airport of the Republic of Nauru (Republic of Nauru International Airport ) is the only airport of the island state Nauru. It lies in the southwest of the island in the districts of Yaren and Boe.

The airport was 300 of about 1,500 Japanese and Korean workers and other Nauruern and Kiribatiern built in January 1943, was cast as Nauru in World War II by the Japanese army. The airport, which still consisted of an asphalt airstrip and a tower at the time, served primarily to the better transport of soldiers and material between Nauru and Japan.

Among the cargo facilities include a warehouse and a freezer storage. The only take-off and landing runway ( Runway 12/30 ) is 2,150 m long and is maximum for a Boeing 737-400 suitable.

The airport is currently (formerly Air Nauru ) to be served only by the Our ​​Airline; formerly also ran the national airline of the Marshall Islands ( Air Marshall Islands ) is a compound.
