New York gubernatorial election, 1826

The gubernatorial election in New York from 1826 took place between the 6th and 8th of November 1826, the Governor and the Vice Governor of New York, were elected.

Candidates

DeWitt Clinton stepped up to re-election as governor with Henry Huntington as his running mate for the Clintonian faction of the Democratic- Republican Party. William B. Rochester joined with Nathaniel Pitcher for the Bucktails faction of the same party.

Result

While DeWitt Clinton was re- elected to the office of the Governor of New York, was not his running mate, Henry Huntington, elected Vice- Governor of New York, but Nathaniel Pitcher.
