New York state election, 1846
The gubernatorial election in New York of 1846 was held on November 3, 1846, the Governor and the Vice Governor of New York, were elected.
Result
The Democratic Party and the Whig party were at that time almost equally strong. The outcome of the election was decided by the Anti -Rent Party, which John Young and Addison Gardiner aufstellte on their ballot. The acting Governor Wright was defeated and re-elected the incumbent Lieutenant Governor Gardiner.
