New York gubernatorial election, 1842

The gubernatorial election in New York of 1842 was held on November 8, 1842, the Governor and the Deputy Governor of the State of New York, were elected. It was the first election that was held on a single day. Prior to the elections were held over three days, starting with the first Monday in November. The New York Legislature has then determined the 1841 election permanently on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

William C. Bouck joined with Daniel S. Dickinson as his running mate for the Democratic Party, Luther Bradish with Gabriel Furman for the Whig Party and Alvan Stewart Charles O. Shepard for the Liberty Party.
