Nicolai Dunger

Nicolai Dunger (* October 4, 1968 in Piteå as Claus Wilhelm Nicolai Dunger ) is a Swedish songwriter who grew up in Piteå and now lives in Stockholm.

Biography

His first album Songs Wearing Clothes appeared at Telegram Records Stockholm a sub-label of Warner Music (Sweden). With two songs ( "Nature Child" and " We Left Us" ) Robert Fripp was responsible for the noise. The follow-up album Eventide he played one along with the string quartet Tämmelkvartetten 1997. This album is, inter alia, to a cover version of the Soundgarden song "Black Hole Sun ". As of 1998, published Nicolai Dunger a series of singles and CDs that are created in collaboration with members of the Swedish band The Soundtrack of Our Lives, which he learned to know the Hultfreds Festival. In the same year the album Soul Rush, which recorded Nicolai Dunger with Dan Berglund and Magnus Öström by Esbjörn Svensson Trio appears. The album was recorded mostly live in the studio, only the strings and horns were added later. For this blue-eyed soul album, which was compared in the press with Astral Weeks by Van Morrison, he was awarded the Swedish Grammy awarded Best Male Artist of the Year. Also in 2001, he contributed the music for the short film The Potter by Lena Dolata. In 2002 he finished the vinyl trilogy with the plate Sweat Her Kiss, the back is full of classic songs compared to the second part.
