Geography

Lower trim is the Jülich flare, which is characterized by wide, flat farmland. History

Low ornamental and Oberzier can be detected already in the 12th century. The later parts of the community belonged to the French invasion in 1794 to the Duchy of Jülich, 1794-1814 were the parts of the community under French administration. Mayor

Hermann Heuser (SPD ) was elected as the joint candidate of the CDU and SPD with 95.3 % of the vote with a voter turnout of 44.7 % on 20 January 2008. The mayoral election was necessitated by the death of the members elected at the municipal election in 2004 Hartmut mayor Nimmerrichter (SPD, † 15 September 2007).
