Nigeria women's national football team

The Nigerian national football team of women (nicknamed " Super Falcons " ) represented Nigeria in international women's football. The team reports to the Nigerian Football Federation. The Nigerian national team selection is the strongest of the African continent. Until now, the Nigerian team eight out of ten African Cup win and was always semi-finals. 2012 was achieved with the fourth place, the worst result so far. At the World Championships and Olympic Games could reach the quarter-finals only once each. Record national Maureen Mmadu is the only African player with at least 100 caps. Tournament Record

World cup

Nigeria took the only African team participated in all World Cup finals, but could only get through the first round in 1999 and move in a second group to the quarterfinals. Olympic games

Nigeria took on three occasions at the football tournament of the women at the Olympics in part. Only in 1996 could not qualify, because automatically the seven best teams in the World Cup 1995 and Brazil were invited to England. In qualifying for 2012 Nigeria met in the final qualifying round on Cameroon which took after the disqualification of Equatorial Guinea.
