Nikola Vučević

Nikola Vučević ( Serbian Cyrillic Никола Вучевич; born October 24, 1990 in Morges, Switzerland ) is a Montenegrin professional basketball player who currently plays for the Orlando Magic in the NBA.

High School

In his fourth high school year Vučević scored on average 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, California. He led his team in points and rebounds and was at the same time team captain.

College

Vučević played three years for the Trojans of the University of Southern California.

After a slow start in his first year advanced Vučević in his second year with 9.7 rebounds per game for the best rebounder with 10.7 points per game as the second best scorer of the Trojans. He also led the Pac -10 Conference with 283 rebounds and was voted " Most Improved Player 2009-2010 " of the Pac- 10 is selected. In his third year Vučević was selected First Team in the Pac -10 and in March 2011 he announced that he would sign up for the NBA Draft.

Philadelphia 76ers

Vučević was drafted at # 16 out of the Philadelphia 76ers. On 4 February 2012, he scored in a game against the Atlanta Hawks his then- record of 15 points. On August 10, 2012, he was in an exchange that included players like Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum and Andre Iguodala, traded to the Orlando Magic.

On 31 Dec 2012 Vučević presented with 29 rebounds in a game a historical Teambestmarke for the Orlando Magic on.
