Nižní Lhoty

Nižní Lhoty ( German sub Ellgoth ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south-east of Frýdek- Místek and belongs to Okres Frýdek- Místek.

Geography

Nižní Lhoty is located on the right bank of the Morávka in Beskidenvorland. North of the village lies the premises of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech. Runs east of scale to enhance the inflow of the dam Žermanice feed channel Morávka - Žermanice, the water from the Morávka passes in the Lučina. In the west the hills rise Vrchy ( 433 m) and Strážnice ( 438 m).

Neighboring towns are Vojkovice in the north, Bukovice in the North East, the Americas in the east, and Kamenité Vyšní Lhoty to the southeast, and Kamenec Záhoří in the south, the west and Skalice Na Kamenci and Nošovice in the northwest.

History

The Waldhufendorf arose during the colonization of the area at the transition from the 13th to the 14th century. The first written mention of the locator after his Rudger as Rudgerova Ves ( Rudgersdorf ) named place took place in 1305., It is assumed that also includes the mention of a village Rozkova Lhota from 1450 on this site.

Originally the Dukes of Cieszyn associated village came to the city Friedeck, which together with surrounding villages pledged to Ernst von Tworkau 1434. It was of Nižní and Vyšní Lhoty talk first. 1573 sold Duke Wenzel von Teschen the village together with the whole Fried Ecker rule to the brothers George and Matthias von Logau and it separated so that finally abandons the Duchy. In the following period, the town was also called Dolni Lhota or Spodní Lhota. Between 1607 and 1739 can be found in the land registers only the name Nižní Lhoty.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed under Ellgoth 1850 a municipality in the district of Teschen. 1867 a wooden bell tower was built in the village. Since the end of the 19th century the Czech name Dolni Lhota was used. Opened in 1870 in the village a school, until then Dobra had been the school location. From 1908 the town belonged to the district Friedeck. 1930 had 457 inhabitants of the village.

After the Munich Agreement, Polish troops occupied on October 1, 1938 part of the village. Through the town led to 1939 the Czech-Polish border, the 25 houses north of Račok creek were Polish. After the German occupation was lower Ellgoth completely to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. After the Second World War Nižní Lhoty was assigned to the Okres Místek and came to its dissolution in 1961 as a district of Nošovice to Okres Frýdek- Místek. Between 1952 and 1955, a cemetery was created on a hill above the village. From 1975 Nižní Lhoty belonged under the name Dobra 3 - Nižní Lhoty to the municipality Dobra. Since 1990, the community Nižní Lhoty there again.
