Norris Division

The Norris Division was one of the divisions in the North American professional hockey league NHL. The league was divided into two Conferences to 1993 ( Campbell Conference and Prince of Wales Conference), which in turn were divided into Divisions. One was the Norris Division, which was established in 1974 as part of the Prince of Wales Conference and 1981 moved to the Clarence Campbell Conference.

With the expansion of the league in 1993 and the subsequent new formation of leagues system, the division of the Central Division was replaced.

Named was the Norris Division by James E. Norris, the former owner of the Detroit Red Wings. The Montreal Canadiens are seven championship titles at the end of the regular season the giants of the Norris Division.
