Gyeongsangbuk -do ( North Gyeongsang ) is a province in eastern South Korea. To the north it borders Gangwon -do, on the east by the Sea of ​​Japan. In the south of the province is limited by Gyeongsangnam -do, on the west by Jeollabuk -do and Chungcheongnam -do. To the south is the metropolis of Daegu, which is under separate management since 1981.

Geography

In the summer, Gyeongsangbuk -do province of South Korea is the hottest because it is mostly from the Taebaek Mountains ( to the east) and Sobaek surrounded ( in the north and west). History

The province was home to the Silla Kingdom and is characterized by its cultural traditions. Many artists, political leaders and scholars come from this province.

Economy

Agricultural products of the province are mainly rice, beans, potatoes and barley; known specialties are apples from Daegu. Dairy farming in some parts of the province, but marine products such as seaweed and squid are also of great importance.
