North Palatinate

The Nordpfalz is almost 650 km ² the smallest landscape in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Pfalz.

Geography

As the name already says Nordpfalz, the landscape forms the northern part of the Palatinate. Almost the entire area occupied by the North Palatine hill country from which the massif of Mount Thunder with 686.5 m above sea level. NHN peaking.

More landscapes of the Palatinate are the Vorderpfalz, the Palatine and the Western Palatinate.

Counties

In the Rhineland-Palatinate region reform (from 1969), both of his time counties Kirchheimbolanden (car number plate KIB ) and Rockhausen (car number plate ROK) have been merged. Since then, there is the Nordpfalz only of a single county:
