Feilbingert

Feilbingert is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Bad Münster am Stein- Ebernburg.

Geographical location

The village lies on the edge of North Palatine hill country surrounded by vineyards and forests. The name refers to two formerly separate places " filing " and " Bingert ".

History

In 1071 Bingert was first mentioned in the Codex Laureshamensis, the document book of the former Abbey of Lorsch as " Binegarten " writing. Feil found in 1237 for the first time written record.
