Neuhemsbach

Neuhemsbach is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Enkenbach- Alsenborn.

Geography

The municipality is situated 18 km north-east of Kaiserslautern at the edge of the Palatinate Forest.

History

Today the district Heinzenthal was already mentioned in 1019 in a document. In the 13th century, was the occasion of a donation to the monastery sink Bach, the place Hemsbach first mentioned.

From the 14th century comes the Perched on the heights " Spitzer Hubel " rest of the Ansel castle.

The town's landmark is the important Protestant parish church on the hill on which stood the castle of the Counts of Sayn -Wittgenstein to the 18th century.

Religions
