Northolt tube station

Northolt is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Ealing. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 5 at the Mandeville Road. In the year 2011 there were 4.28 million passengers served by the Central Line station. It has a central platform. Run parallel to the subway tracks tracks of a railway line; on these trains of Chiltern Railways, which does not hold for lack of a second platform here.

Built in 1903, the Great Western Railway ( GWR ) and the Great Central Railway together the New North Main Line ( NNML ). Opened in 1907, the GWR the breakpoint Northolt. As part of the 1935 New Works program adopted by the London Passenger Transport Board was an additional double track along the NNML moved to the end of the Second World War to allow the underground operation between North Acton and West Ruislip. The Central Line sailed the route from November 21, 1948 while the railway passenger traffic was discontinued.
