South Ruislip station

South Ruislip is a station and in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 5 on Long Drive. The station is serviced one hand on the Central Line of the London Underground, on the other hand, trains of the railway company Chiltern Railways, which run from London Marylebone station via High Wycombe to Birmingham. In 2011, 1.76 million passengers the station, added 0, x million passengers by rail. Next to the station there is a disposal site, which once supplied daily from a Müllzug.

Built in 1906, the Great Western Railway and the Great Central Railway in common the Great Western and Great Central Joint Railway (GW & GCJR ), a railway line towards High Wycombe. Two years later, the breakpoint Northolt Junction was opened, which was called from 1932 South Ruislip & Northolt Junction and in 1942 received its current name. As part of the 1935 New Works program adopted by the London Passenger Transport Board was an additional double track along the GW & GCJR moved to the end of the Second World War to allow the underground operation between North Acton and West Ruislip. The Central Line sailed the route from November 21, 1948. In February 2006, the station for a short time had to be closed after the infrastructure company Metronet was encountered during renovation work on asbestos.
