Now It's Overhead is an American alternative / indie rock band from Athens, Georgia.

Band History

Now It's Overhead was initially founded by singer-songwriter Andy LeMaster as a studio project to record a collection of songs he had composed in the previous two years. For Studio Cast Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink listed by Azure Ray and drummer Clay Leverett. The 2001 self-titled album was released successfully marketed by Saddle Creek, so that out of the studio lineup a full-time band was born. As in the aftermath Andy LeMaster again reinforced was working for his band Bright Eyes and Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink pushed forward their project Azure Ray, the follow-up album fallback Open came out in 2004. Two years later, after Brad register and Curtis Brown two other members had come to the band released their third studio album Dark Light Daybreak. Register and Brown are also in the band Summer Birds In The Cellar. The rest of 2006, the band spent with the promotion of her new album. In 2007, she played in the opening act of the Scottish band Idlewild on their UK tour.

Trivia

  • Michael Stipe of R.E.M. and Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes delivered smaller contributions to the album fallback Open.
  • Now it's overhead translates now it's overhead, so that it may be perceived by viewers (like the overhead projector).
