Obando (Bulacan)
Obando is a town in the Philippine province of Bulacan in the Central Luzon region with about 55,000 residents.
Location
At Manila Bay in the west is about 5 km. Malabon is located 10 km south and Mac Arthur Highway is 4 km away, the North Luzon Expressway - 6 km to the east.
History
In the 18th century, the communities Meycauayan, Valenzuela (formerly Polo) and Obando were one town called Meycauayan. Polo and Obando formed a barrio called Catan Galan. In 1907, Obando was then an independent city.
