Geography

Oberhausen is in the planning region Ingolstadt. The community is accessible from all directions as standard by the federal highway 16 (own entrance ) and the Danube Valley Railway with a railway station in the district of Oberhausen.

Expansion of the municipal area

The municipality includes the villages of Oberhausen Beutmühle, Höfelhof, Kastl mill Kreut, St. Wolfgang, Sinning, Stelzhof and Unterhausen.

History

Oberhausen belonged to the former Duchy of Neuburg -Sulzbach and his court Neuburg; since 1777 the area was part of the Electorate of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

In Oberhausen in the Middle Ages was an imperial castle. From it are now only remains to be seen. There is a monument to Théophile Malo Corret de la Tour d'Auvergne in the 1830s between the villages of Oberhausen and Unterhausen. When U.S. air strikes on the WIFO - tank farm Oberhausen at the end of the Second World War several inhabitants of the upper and lower Stockhausen died and in both places destructions were recorded. The attacks took place on 9 April 1945 by the 8th USAAF and on 18 April 1945 by the 1st TAF ( Prov. ) instead. The municipal area of Oberhausen was from 1959 to 1994 Tilly barracks of the Armed Forces with training area, for the establishment of the hamlet was Kreut seed off in the late 1950s.

Religions

The Catholic parish of St. Clement in Oberhausen belongs to the parish community Sinning. To include parish nor the wasteland Höfelhof and the train station.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent communities Sinning and Unterhausen were incorporated.

Mayor is Fridolin Gößl (CSU ). He was the successor of Xaver Schiele (SPD ) in 2002.

21 September 2011 were the eight municipalities Doll stone, Wellheim, wet rock, Egweil, Oberhausen, castle home, Rennertshofen and Neuburg an der Donau ARGE Urdonautal, a working group whose purpose is the promotion and coordination of tourism in Urdonautal.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

The municipality is situated on the part Unterhausen Donautalbahn. There is a junction station with a branch to a private repair shop Unterhausen EuroMaint. In this work, tank cars are repaired.

Internet / broadband

The community has its own passive fiber optic network (PON ) which corresponds to the stage of development of FTTH ( Fiber To The Home), that extends into the houses or companies. Here, the passive network is fully in Gemeindebesitzt, the active components and the necessary technical know -how brought the partners Sacoin GmbH ( now German fiberglass GmbH). The community was one of the first in Bavaria which went this way while Breitbandbau and got it, inter alia, the Bavarian Quality Award prize in 2012.

Education

In 2006 the following institutions existed:

  • Kindergartens: 2 kindergartens ( Oberhausen ( since 1994) and Sinning ( 1979 ) )
  • Elementary school: In the school year 2006/2007 four grades were performed double- liberal with a total of 145 students. There, the children are taught from the districts of Oberhausen, Kreut, Unterhausen and Sinning.
