Obilić

Obiliq ( Albanian: Obiliqi, rarely also Kastriot or Kastrioti, Serbian Обилић / Obilić ) is a city and headquarters of the eponymous large village in central Kosovo. It is bounded on the southeast by the greater community of Pristina, from which it was separated in 1989. The main road between Pristina and Kosovska Mitrovica runs through the municipality.

Etymology

By 1912 Obiliq wore the Serbian name Sloboderica what is known as " free city " translate roughly. Since then, she is named after the Serbian nobles or knights Miloš Obilić, a national hero in Serbia, who is worshiped on the Kosovo in 1389 since the battle. Population
