Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu

Ovidiu " Ovi " Cernăuţeanu ( born August 23, 1974 in Botosani ) known also under the name Ovi Martin, Ovidiu Jacobsen, or Bill Martin, is a Romanian- Norwegian singer and composer. In 2010 he took together with singer Paula Seling for Romania part of the 55th Euro Vision Song Contest, where both occupied a third place.

Biography

Ovidiu Cernăuţeanu was born in the north- eastern Romania. As a child he liked the music and won at the age of 14 years, the Romanian singing competition Florile Dragostei. Then he gained experience in various bands, among other things together with his father and his former music teacher.

Early 1990s suggested illegal entry into Germany with a friend fails, with the Cernăuţeanu a demo tape was recorded. At the age of 18, he then traveled with his bandmates to Tokyo.
