Özkan Yıldırım

Özkan Yıldırım (born 10 April 1993 Sulingen ) is a German footballer of Turkish descent, which is active at Werder Bremen since July 2003.

Career

Association

He began 1999 at TuS Sulingen and changed in July 2003 in the youth department of Werder Bremen. In Bremen, the midfielder went through several youth teams, before he ascended the first time in the men's area. His first non- league game for the second team completed Yildirim 29 January 2011 in the away game against the VfR Aalen (1:1 ) when he came on in the 74th minute by coach Thomas Wolter for Onur Ayik.

For the season 2011/12 Yildirim received a professional contract and was included in the squad for the Bundesliga team. After 14 - month injury break, he graduated in 2013, first winter training camp and was then for the first time off the bench on January 19, 2013 in the 0-5 home defeat against Borussia Dortmund in the 54th minute for Sebastian Prödl in the Bundesliga. On May 22, 2013 Yildirim extended his contract with Werder Bremen for another three years until 2016.

National

Yildirim is German youth international. So he ran on already for the U15, U16, U17 and U18 of the DFB.

Personal

Yildirim was several years romantically involved with standing also at the time at SV Werder Bremen contract German Turkish football player Manjou Wilde.
