Pape (TTC)

Pape is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, at the corner of Danforth Avenue and Pape Avenue. The station has side platforms, is used daily by an average of 27,080 passengers (2009 /10).

It offers connecting flights to two bus lines. The opening of the station took place on 26 February 1966 in conjunction with the section Keele - Woodbine. Pape is the first stop on the Bloor- Danforth Line, which is extensively renovated as part of a modernization program. The program includes the construction of a second access to the platforms, the installation of elevators, artistic design and improvement of security and lighting. The work began in September 2009 and will last until 2012.

As part of the project of construction of various Transit City light rail lines is provided. One of them, Don Mills LRT, to connect Pape 17.6 km long with the Don Mills Station on the Sheppard Line. The opening is planned for 2016.
