Papyrus 103

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 103) 103 Papyrus is an early copy of the Greek New Testament.

Description

It is a papyrus manuscript of the Gospel of Matthew contains only the verses from 13.55 to 56; 14.3 to 5. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 3rd century.

It was probably part with Papyrus 77 to a Code.

Text

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type.

In Matthew 13:55 Jesus' brother has the name Ιωσης instead Ιωσηφ. It is the oldest evidence for this text version.
