Papyrus 20

Papyrus 20 ( Gregory- Aland Sigel 20 referred ) is a early Greek copy of the New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Epistle of James contains only the verses from 2.19 to 3.9. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the early 3rd century.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type (or rather a proto- Alexandrian ). Aland placed it in Category I. The manuscript shows largest accordance with the Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus.

It is kept in Princeton currently in the Princeton University Library (AM 4117 ).
