Papyrus 51

Papyrus 51 ( Gregory- Aland 51 Sigel called ) is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Epistle to the Galatians and contains only the verses 1,2-10.13.16-20 means palaeography it was dated to the 3rd or 4th century.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type (or rather proto- Alexandrian ). Kurt Aland placed it in Category II.

Currently the manuscript in the Ashmolean Museum ( P. Oxy 2157 ) is preserved in Oxford.
