Patrick Fischler

Patrick Fischler ( born December 29, 1969 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor.

Life and career

Fischler was born in Los Angeles in 1969. His father Bill Fischler acquired a restaurant in Malibu, which he named after his son Patrick 's Roadhouse 1974. The regularly attended among others by Arnold Schwarzenegger restaurant was continued after the death of his father of Patrick's brother Anthony Fischler.

For three years Fischler lived in South Africa before the family returned to Los Angeles in 1985. There Fischer attended acting classes and appeared in small theater productions. From the late 1980s he worked at Paramount Pictures, among other things in the script department, where he was entrusted with the sighting of incoming screenplays.

At the suggestion of his friend Fischler know ( a half-sister of Julia Louis -Dreyfus ) decided to devote himself entirely to acting and first began studying at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he met his future wife, actress Lauren Bowles. After completing his studies in 1992 he returned back to Los Angeles, where he founded the theater group Neurotic Young Urbanites with Bowles and other graduates. During one of these performances he was spotted by an agent and sent to the casting of the Jan de Bont - film speed, which earned him his first supporting role in a feature film. Also in 1994 was followed by supporting roles in Shadow and the Curse of the Khan and Swimming with Sharks.

In 1996, he played, again directed by Jan de Bont, a larger supporting role in the disaster film Twister. This was followed by a recurring role in the television series Nash Bridges.

In 1999, Fischler a role in the originally planned as a pilot for a TV series Mulholland Drive - Road of Darkness, directed by David Lynch. After the film was rejected by ABC television and Lynch extended the project with new producers to a feature film, Fischler was invited to the rotation of other scenes again in October 2000.

A larger audience Fischler became known for his appearances in television series such as Lost or Southland, and especially his role as Jimmy Barrett in the AMC series Mad Men in 2009.

In 2011, Fischler presented using performance capture the mobster Mickey Cohen in the computer game LA Noire dar.

Fischler is married to Lauren Bowles since 2004. 2009 was born their daughter.
