Bonssawende Zoundi Patrick ( born July 19, 1982 in Ouagadougou ) is a football player from the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

Career

He was trained in the youth academy Planète Champion in Ouagadougou and moved from there to Belgium for KSC Lokeren. For the 2008/09 season he played for Panserraikos in Greece. In July 2009 he signed a two -year contract with Fortuna Dusseldorf and was from then on in the 2nd Bundesliga active. In two years he came although on 42 missions, but was used infrequently and could not establish itself as a solid starting players.

On 23 May 2011 his transfer free change to league rivals 1.FC Union Berlin was announced. He got there a two year contract for the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. In the following two seasons Zoundi denied a total of 51 compulsory games in which he was able to achieve six goals for Berlin. But since he could not finally prevail against the competition on the center field position, his contract was not renewed with the Union.

For the 2013/14 season Zoundi was committed by the North Rhine -Westphalian third division side MSV Duisburg.

National

Patrick Zoundi plays for the Burkina Faso national football team and in 1999 she took part in the U -17 World Cup in New Zealand. He also starred in the squad Burkina Faso at the African Cup of Nations in 2004 and 2010.
