Pavlodar ( Kazakh and Russian Павлодар ;) is a city in northern Kazakhstan.

Geographical Location

Pavlodar is located on the Irtysh River ( Kazakh Ертіс / Ertis ) near the Irtysh - Karaganda Canal and is the capital of Pavlodar region.

History

In today's urban area of ​​the outpost of a Cossack garrison named Korjakowski ( Коряковский ) was founded in 1720.
