The Peitz, Lower Office Picnjo, is a 1992 formed office in the state of Brandenburg, in the twelve communities in the former districts of Cottbus - land, forestry and Guben had (now the district of Spree -Neisse, Brandenburg ) together to form a management group. Seat of the official administration is in the town of Peitz. 2003, the municipalities of the Office Jaenschwalde merged to form community Jaenschwalde and dissolved the Office Jaenschwalde. The community Jaenschwalde was assigned to the Peitz.

Geographical location

The Office is located north of the city of Cottbus in Lower Lusatia in Brandenburg and is part of the district of Spree -Neisse. It is bordered on the north by the Office Love Rose / Upper Spreewald and the municipality and Schenkendöbern, to the east by Poland to the south by the town of Forst, the Office Döbern country and the city of Cottbus, on the west by the Office Burg (Spreewald ).

The Peitz managed eight municipalities. All communities are bilingual ( German, Sorbian ) and perform their official place names in both languages.

History

On 23 April 1992, the Mayor signed by twelve municipalities a "Public Understanding on the Establishment of the Office Peitz ". On 3 July 1992, the Minister of the Interior gave its approval for the formation of the Office Peitz, has been set for the conclusion of July 16, 1992. Seat of the official administration was in town Peitz. The following twelve communities from the former districts of Cottbus - land, forestry and Guben were in it together ( in order of mention in the Official Journal):

At the time of inception, the Peitz ( December 31, 1992) had 9853 inhabitants. To the Chairman of the Local Committee Willi Zech, the mayor of Preilack was elected on 22 July 1992. For Office Director Hans Gahler, Mayor of Peitz was chosen. December 6, 1993, the municipality Schönhöhe was incorporated in Tauer. Lothar cherry was Chairman of the Local Committee in December 1993. In November 1995, the official residence was moved to the Rehn - factory, which was expanded to become the administrative center. March 15, 1999, Dr. Guido Odendahl took office as the official director.

As of 31 December 2000, the municipalities Bärenbrück, Maust and Neuendorf merged to form the new municipality Teichland. On January 12, 2001 Horst Fillmer was elected Chairman of the Local Committee.

The communities Preilack and Turnow merged on 31 December 2001 with new community Turnow- Preilack.

October 26 Finally, in 2003 the municipality Grötsch was incorporated by law in the community Heinersbrück. At the same time, the new community Jaenschwalde formed from the communities Grießen, Drewitz and Jaenschwalde the Office Jaenschwalde, which was assigned to the Peitz. The Office Jaenschwalde was dissolved.

The community Grötsch appealed to the Constitutional Court of the State of Brandenburg lawsuit against their inclusion in the community Heiner village and against the enlargement of the Office of the merger with the former Office Jaenschwalde, which was founded in 2006 " partly dismissed, rejected the rest ." The constitutional complaints of the three municipalities Jaenschwalde, Drewitz and Grießen the Office Jaenschwalde rejected against their arranged by law merger to create new community Jaenschwalde, the resolution of the Office Jaenschwalde and the assignment of the new community Jaenschwalde to Peitz 2006 were partly discarded the rest.

Dr. Guido Odendahl was July 1, 2007 his post as the official director of the Office Peitz. Then headed wife Elvira Hölzner, deputy office director, first representative the Peitz. On 24 October 2007 she was elected to the new office director of the Office Peitz.
